The 2023/24 KHL championship season kicked off with a thrilling match between Admiral and Lada, held at the "Fetisov Arena" in Vladivostok on October 6th. Over 3700 spectators were in attendance to witness the exciting encounter.

The home team, Admiral, opened the scoring in the middle of the first period. Korbit found the back of the net with a pass from Gutilin, giving Admiral an early advantage. Lada responded quickly, with Mineev scoring a goal in the same period, assisted by Popugaev and Stalnoy, levelling the score.

The second period was a defensive battle, with both teams showing resilience and determination to keep the score tied.

The third period saw a series of goals that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. Admiral took the lead again thanks to Chebykin's goal, but Lada equalized with a goal from Popugaev, assisted by Stalnoy and Safin.

In the final minutes, Admiral secured the victory with a power play goal. Solovev scored the winning goal, with assists from Chudinov and Gutilin, securing a hard-fought victory for the home team.

Looking ahead, Admiral will play at home against Ak Bars on October 8th, while Lada will be a guest of Amur on the same day. The main referees for the match were Russians Radovin and Sergeev.
