Tropical disturbances anticipated to heighten significantly in the upcoming fortnight across Houston weather forecasts

The tropical region is gearing up for increased activity over the next couple of weeks, but for Houston, Texas, the forecast is more settled and sunny.

In the coming days, the city can expect a hot and mostly sunny pattern, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-90s. This weather pattern will continue through Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with high humidity and only a slight chance of showers mainly near the coast.

On Tuesday, Houston will experience scattered coastal showers early in the day, which are expected to die out by midday, leaving mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day. Tuesday night lows will be in the upper 70s.

A high-pressure ridge will maintain these hot and mostly sunny conditions, with only about a 10 to 30 percent chance of sea breeze showers, mostly near the coast. The settled high pressure will keep skies predominantly clear and temperatures elevated through at least Friday.

However, a system off the East Coast of the U.S. could strengthen and move closer to the Carolinas by the end of the week. Fortunately, the Gulf of Mexico is not expected to be affected by this system.

Elsewhere in Texas, a death investigation is underway at a Katy Buc-ee's.

Temperatures across the region began Monday in the mid-to-upper 70s and low 80s. Brenham had a low of 73 degrees, while downtown Houston had a high of 80 degrees.

Stay safe and keep an eye on the skies, as the main threat from these afternoon thunderstorms is lightning. As always, keep up with local news for updates on any weather-related events or investigations.
