Trivium marks their comeback with the release of the single titled "Bury Me With My Screams", which bears the hallmarks of their classic album Ascendancy.
Renowned metal band Trivium has some exciting news for fans. The Florida-based group has announced the release of their new EP, "Struck Dead," scheduled for release on October 31, 2025. This three-track EP will be the first music to be tracked at Trivium's rehearsal-space-turned-recording-studio, The Hangar, in Orlando.
The lead single from the EP, "Bury Me with My Screams," has already been unveiled and is set to make its live debut at the Bloodstock Open Air festival on August 8. Trivium will headline the festival, marking a special occasion as they debut their new song live for the first time.
The new EP is a return to the band's roots, with Trivium's bassist, Paolo Gregoletto, describing "Bury Me with My Screams" as a throwback to Trivium's 2005 breakthrough album, "Ascendancy."
Trivium collaborated with designer Roger D'Arcy to build The Hangar Studios, an endeavour introduced by Mark Lewis. The studio construction took a year to complete, and during this time, Trivium wrote and rehearsed new songs that would eventually become part of the "Struck Dead" EP.
In 2023, Trivium spent much of the year rehearsing and touring as part of the "Poisoned Ascendancy Tour," celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album Ascendancy. However, some tour dates, specifically on their co-headlining tour with Bullet For My Valentine, were canceled due to unforeseen circumstances around band member availability.
After the European tour, Trivium will tour North America from October to December, supported by Jinjer and Heriot. More details about the tour will be announced in due course.
"Struck Dead" will be released via Roadrunner Records, the same label that has been home to Trivium since 2005. This new EP marks a significant milestone for the band, serving as the first taste of new Trivium music since they released their 10th album, "In The Court Of The Dragon," in October 2021.
The band has also been working on their 11th album at The Hangar, so fans can expect more new music from Trivium in the near future.
In the meantime, catch Trivium live at the Bloodstock Open Air festival on August 8, where they will perform "Bury Me with My Screams" for the first time. The band's Bloodstock set will kick off a brief European tour that lasts until mid-August.
