The 77th Emmy Awards, held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, saw a significant victory for the medical drama series "The Pitt." The show, produced by the group behind the iconic "ER-Emergency Room," surpassed the science fiction series "Severance," which had amassed 24 nominations.

"The Pitt" wasn't just a winner in the drama category. The series also brought home the award for best drama series, marking a triumphant return to the wards for Noah Wyle. The series is set to be released in Italy on September 24, exclusively on Sky.

Another notable winner of the night was the limited series "Adolescence," which took home the award for best limited series. However, details about the plot and characters of both "The Pitt" and "Adolescence" were not provided.

In the acting categories, the spotlight shone on 15-year-old Owen Cooper, who made history by becoming the youngest male actor ever awarded by the Television Academy. Cooper won the award for best supporting actor for his role in "The Pitt."

Seth Rogen, on the other hand, won the award for best comedy series for "The Studio." Rogen, along with Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez, also accepted the Emmy for Writing for a Comedy Series for "The Studio" at the ceremony. Jamie Erlicht, Apple's head of Worldwide Video, publicly commented on the win, but there is no indication he personally accepted the award.

Unfortunately, the late-night show "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" was not renewed for the next season. However, Colbert managed to ascend the stage of the Peacock Theatre three times during the night. First, to present an award, and then to accept his first Emmy for the late-night show.

Despite speculation, it remains uncertain whether the non-renewal of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" is a form of retaliation against Colbert, who was critical of US President Donald Trump's policies.

As the dust settles on the 77th Emmy Awards, it's clear that "The Pitt" and its cast and crew have much to celebrate. The series' success not only marks a strong start for the show but also promises an exciting future for the world of television.
