Bigas Luna Tribute Returns to Edinburgh for a Celebratory Event

In addition to the screenings, the event offers an opportunity to learn about the context in which Bigas Luna's work was produced, in conversation with his collaborators and international academics. Prof. Santiago Fouz Hernández from MLAC, Durham will introduce and participate in a Q&A session for Jamón jamón. Dr Fiona Noble from the University of Stirling will introduce Huevos de oro/Golden Balls.
Prof Fouz Hernández will also introduce La teta y la luna/The Tit and the Moon and participate in a joint Q&A for both films with Dr Noble. Both films will be screened on October 15 at Summerhall. Huevos de oro/Golden Balls will be screened at 4.00pm, followed by La teta y la luna/The Tit and the Moon at 6.30pm.
Dr Christian Mieves (Newcastle University) created and donated the original illustrations of Jamón jamón for the official festival poster and trailer. The events have hosted over 100 screenings and attracted large audiences and over 30 institutional and commercial sponsorships.
