Tribute speech given in honor of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, served from 1977 to 1981, hailing from the peanut-rich state of Georgia. His presidency, often viewed as unsuccessful in retrospect, is a subject of much debate.

Next Monday, September 29, at 8 PM, Dr. Heinz-Otto Lindner will deliver a lecture at the VHS Stadtfenster, Steinsche Gasse 26 in Duisburg, Germany, aiming to present a different picture of Carter's presidency.

Dr. Lindner, a renowned historian, will discuss the life and tenure of James Earl 'Jimmy' Carter Jr., focusing on aspects that may have been overlooked or misinterpreted. The lecture is free and prior registration is requested.

For more information about the lecture, please contact Josip Sosic from the Volkshochschule. You can reach him at the number 0203 283-984617.

It's important to note that Jimmy Carter passed away last year at the age of 100. His humble beginnings as a peanut farmer were frequently emphasized, underscoring his down-to-earth demeanour.

The lecture will take place at the VHS in the Stadtfenster, a well-known venue in Duisburg. We invite you to attend and gain a fresh perspective on Jimmy Carter's presidency.
