Tribe of Morongo in California gives $100,000 contribution to Animal Action League for animal support

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians, based in Banning, California, has generously donated $100,000 to the Animal Action League, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and improving the health and welfare of companion animals and communities.

The donation, announced by Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin, aims to strengthen communities and improve the quality of life for animals. The funds will be used for a matching grant to purchase a trailer for the Animal Action League's Skills Lab Program.

The Animal Action League, founded over 30 years ago and based in Joshua Tree, California, operates spay and neuter clinics, low-cost vaccinations, and microchipping services. The Skills Lab Program will use the donated money to buy a trailer designed for training veterinarians on high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter procedures. The trailer is expected to be completed in January.

The donation will help the Animal Action League reach more pet owners in underserved areas, such as the Coachella Valley, Morongo Basin, City of Banning, and surrounding communities. The Morongo Tribe has partnered with the Animal Action League to help more families access affordable spay and neuter services.

In recent months, the Morongo Tribe has sponsored two free spay and neuter clinics at the Morongo Community Center in partnership with the Animal Action League. The donation does not involve any advertisements.

The Animal Action League is profoundly grateful for the Morongo Tribe's generosity and vision. The organisation is committed to providing affordable spay, neuter, and vaccination services to pet owners with limited incomes. The donation will contribute to healthier pets, fewer strays, and stronger communities.

With this significant donation, the Animal Action League is one step closer to its goal of helping to reduce pet overpopulation, improve the health and welfare of companion animals, and strengthen communities. The organisation expresses its heartfelt thanks to the Morongo Tribe for their continued support and dedication to animal welfare.
