Triathlon competition organized by City AM Team at T100 London deemed celebrated triumph
City AM Triathlon Team Challenge: A Thrilling Corporate Relay Event
The City AM Triathlon Team Challenge, held as part of the London T100 Triathlon weekend, is a competitive corporate team relay event that attracts a strong competitive spirit from corporate teams. This sprint-distance triathlon relay consists of three participants, each completing one leg of the race: a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride, and a 5km run that culminates at the ExCeL Centre in London.
The event takes place on closed roads within the city, providing a unique and iconic racing experience. In the 2025 edition, 26 to 28 corporate teams participated, with notable participants such as BNY Investments, the Financial Conduct Authority, Populous (stadium architects), and Maurten UK. Each team had different team members specializing in swimming, cycling, and running, aiming to maximize performance.
Maurten UK emerged victorious with a finishing time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 47 seconds. Terra Manufacturing took the second place, while Keir Strava secured the third position. The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) expressed gratitude for City AM's support of the corporate relay and is planning to build on the success of the event for next year.
The City AM Triathlon Team Challenge also emphasizes inclusivity, offering features like women-only modesty changing areas, diverse swim cap sizes, and designated waves to encourage diverse athlete participation.
The London T100 Triathlon weekend, which attracted about 5,000 amateur athletes, including elite triathletes and celebrities like three-time Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, was held successfully. Over 50 employees from the Financial Conduct Authority participated in the event.
Meanwhile, the PTO introduced a new 100km distance, which includes a 2km swim, 80km bike, and 18km run. Britain's Lucy Charles-Barclay won the elite women's event, while Hayden Wilde took the men's title.
Terra Manufacturing, one of the participating teams, is planning to compete again in the City AM Triathlon Team Challenge next year. Their team consisted of experienced triathletes and newcomers, each taking on a different leg of the race.
