Team Weimarer Ingenieure Aims High in 2021 Triathlon Bundesliga

The 2021 Triathlon Bundesliga season is underway, and one team with ambitious goals is Team Weimarer Ingenieure. Their aim is to leave their main competitors in the dust and secure a place in the league for another year.

The Bundesliga schedule for 2021 included races in various locations, such as Allgäu and Grimma. Live streams for these races were provided, with the Allgäu race starting at 16:25 local time on August 15, 2025, according to league streaming practices. Similarly, the Grimma event was part of the Bundesliga calendar, but specific streaming details for 2021 were not found in the current search results.

The Bundesliga operates on a point system, where the team with the lowest sum of placements wins each race, and cumulative points determine the overall standings at season end. The league fields multiple teams, with 16 men's teams and 14 women's teams typically participating in 2021 and subsequent years.

Team Weimarer Ingenieure is a known competitor in the league, but specific performance details for 2021 races are not readily available. However, the team always keeps an eye on a Top Ten place, and eleventh place in Dresden was considered a good performance and will be aimed for again in the Allgäu.

The Allgäu race will be a historic event, as it is the first time the 1st Triathlon Bundesliga is being held in the region. The team participating is Team Weimarer Ingenieure, and the competition is expected to be intense, although it may look a bit different compared to the finals in Dresden.

The women's race, including the Thuringia Triathlon Team, will begin at 4:30 pm, while the men's race will start at 6 pm. Five athletes will start in the mass start at Alpsee.

The team's manager, Aljoscha Willgosch, has emphasised the importance of the young athletes gaining experience in the 2nd Bundesliga North, as it is invaluable for the future of the team. The team will leave for the Allgäu on Thursday and return on Friday evening, leaving little time to enjoy the picturesque landscape around the Alpsee due to the triathlon.

The race can be watched via live stream, and the team is relying on the team from Dresden for the Sprint Mass Start at Alpsee. The athletes from Dresden include Theo Sonnenberg, Phil Pfeifer, Leon Fischer, Philipp Mack, and John Heiland. Tobias Drachler, Peter Lehmann, Stig Rudolph, Paul Adelt (both Gera), and Thorben Hädrich (HSV Weimar) belong to the team for the race in Grimma.

The Allgäu Triathlon has become an institution in Germany, and the team members have jobs and are volunteers. Despite the busy schedule, they are determined to secure a Top Ten place in the Allgäu race.
