Trial Testimony: Ex-Assistant Discloses Alleged Maltreatment by Combs - Trial details: Former assistant testifies on alleged abuse by Combs

In a New York courtroom, former rap mogul Sean Combs confronts accusations of sexual and physical abuse, as detailed by his ex-assistant, identified only as Mia. Mia, who worked for Combs from 2009 to 2017, testified that the 55-year-old artist subjected her to repeated sexual and physical assaults.

One alleged encounter took place at Combs' residence, where he reportedly climbed on top of Mia while she was sleeping, urging her to remain silent before unzipping his pants. Another occurred while Mia was packing a bag, during which Combs is said to have abused her. These instances left Mia "confused, embarrassed, and scared."

Mia had previously testified about the violence she faced from Combs, alleging he hurled objects at her, shoved her against walls, and even forced her into a pool. The defendant also controlled her working hours, often requiring her to work for days without a moment's rest.

The rapper, who also goes by the stage name Diddy, is charged with multiple offenses, including sex trafficking, organized crime, and other crimes. Combs denies all allegations and pled not guilty. If convicted, he faces a life sentence. The trial is expected to continue for several more weeks.

U.S. media reports indicate that Cassie, Combs' former partner, also claimed repeated beatings and coerced sex acts. The investigations suggest that Combs allegedly led a 20-year-long racketeering conspiracy fueled by fear and violence. However, the focus of the trial remains centered on the accusations made by Mia and other women.

The Commission has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, given the rising concerns over health hazards in various industries, such as entertainment where celebrities like Sean Combs, currently on trial for sexual and physical abuse, reportedly subject their employees to dangerous working conditions. The trial, covering crime-and-justice related matters, has gained general-news attention, with Mia's testimony highlighting the severe consequences these incidents can have on the mental and physical well-being of the victims.
