Special Train Connects Italy with Munich's Christmas Markets - Trenitalia's Festive Christmas Train: Rome to Munich
Trenitalia, led by CEO and General Manager Gianpiero Strisciuglio, is introducing a festive train journey this Christmas. The 'Espresso Monaco: Edizione Mercatini di Natale' will connect Rome to Munich, offering passengers a unique experience with Christmas decorations, special menus, and gifts.
The overnight service will depart Rome at 7:57 p.m. on December 5 and 12, arriving in Munich at 1:00 p.m. the next day. On board, passengers can enjoy the interior decorated for the holidays, with festive music setting the mood. A special menu will be available in the dining car, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The train will make stops in Bolzano, Innsbruck, and Kufstein, allowing passengers to explore these charming cities en route to Munich's famous Christmas markets. Return trips are scheduled for December 7 and 14, departing Munich at 1:40 p.m. and arriving back in Rome at 6:33 a.m. the following morning. Each passenger will receive a small gift upon boarding, making the journey even more memorable.
