Trapped's potential comeback to Paris generating significant buzz
Kevin Trapp's Potential Move to Paris FC: A New Chapter in His Career
After a successful stint with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he captained the team and helped secure the Europa League title in 2022 and a UEFA Champions League qualification, Kevin Trapp is reportedly considering a move to Ligue 1 newcomer, Paris FC 1. This transfer, if it materializes, would signify a new chapter in Trapp’s career at the age of 35.
Trapp, who has been under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2026, officially moved to Paris FC in August 2025, signing a contract until 2028. However, there is no evidence or mention of any connection between Trapp’s move to Paris FC and luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton, or the involvement of Jürgen Klopp in this transfer 1.
Paris FC, which is part of the Red Bull consortium, is reportedly interested in Trapp. The club's ownership is led by Bernard Arnault, the richest Frenchman, who also owns luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Hennessy through his holding company 1. Jürgen Klopp serves as "Head of Global Soccer" for the Paris FC consortium, but there is no indication of his involvement in Trapp's potential move.
Trapp's current status for the Champions League match against FV Engers 07 is uncertain. Eintracht Frankfurt has not commented on Trapp's potential move to Paris FC, and Jens Grahl is currently the third goalkeeper in the Eintracht Frankfurt squad. Kauã Santos, who replaced Trapp when he was injured last season, is working on his comeback after a cruciate ligament tear.
Trapp, who previously posed for a fashion magazine in Louis Vuitton clothes and attended Louis Vuitton fashion shows in June, maintains an apartment in Paris, France. His fiancée, Izabel Goulart, is a Brazilian model.
Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly starting to challenge Bayern Munich in football, positioning itself as a strong contender in the German football scene. This potential move by Tratt could mark a significant shift in the German football landscape.
