Transporting goods via roads surpasses other methods in success rates for hunting down desired targets.
In the picturesque town of Pressath, the annual general meeting of the local hunting association was held recently, with several significant decisions being made.
Rudi Deglmann was re-elected as chairman of the association, marking his continued leadership in the community. The meeting also saw the unanimous re-election of Philipp Wolfram as deputy chairman, as well as the continuation of Josef Eichermueller, Michael Wiesend, and Anton Murr in their roles as advisors and treasurer respectively.
The board also announced the appointment of Manfred Ficker and Erwin Deglmann as auditors for the hunting association's accounts.
One of the key agenda items was the renewal of leases for the four hunting grounds. The board had discussions with lessees regarding the renewal, and it was decided that the lessees will bear the estimation and administrative costs. A wild damage regulation must be included in the renewal of the hunting association's leases.
However, the meeting did not provide an update on the status of the vacant secretary position within the association.
The rent for the hunting grounds was set at 3.50 euros per hectare, determined for a nine-year period. A damage charge of 1.20 euros per hectare will be added to the rent. The money from the rent will be used for the expansion and renewal of field paths, as has been the case for decades.
The hunting association's huntable area has decreased by 41 hectares due to construction measures and fencing. Despite this, the browse damage has decreased, but the growth of young deciduous trees without protective measures is not possible.
During the meeting, a minute of silence was held for the recently deceased former hunting master Norbert Hofer.
The board also addressed concerns about the impact of farming activities on the hunting grounds. Deglmann appealed to property owners and managers to not plow every inch up to the border and for farmers with large tractors to exhibit a considerate driving style.
The hunting assembly ended with a traditional hunters' feast, marking the conclusion of another successful year for the Pressath Hunting Association. It was also announced that a possible renegotiation of the damage regulation may occur midway through the lease period.
Günther Habelitz, the current hunting lessee of hunting ground II, was unanimously dismissed from the contract. The position of secretary in the hunting association remains vacant.
The decisions made at the annual general meeting will shape the future of the Pressath Hunting Association, ensuring the continued protection and management of the local wildlife and habitat.
