Transitioning city showcase: exhibition, book launch, and dialog event

In the heart of Aachen, at Annastraße 14-16, a significant event is unfolding. From September 16 to 23, the Annahalle will play host to an exhibition titled "Urban Resilience in Practice - Impulses for the City in Transition." This event is closely linked to the urban future process "City Center Tomorrow," an initiative that invites citizens to participate in the design of their future city.

On September 23, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will present the book "Talented City Center," which showcases the results of the "ACademy for Collaborative Urban Development" project. This project, which focused on the structural change of Aachen's city center from 2021 to 2023, is one of the 17 pilot projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) under the call "Post-Corona City: Ideas and Concepts for Resilient Urban Development."

The book presentation and discussion on "Talented City Center" promises to be an enlightening event, with a panel of experts including Prof. Anne-Julchen Bernhardt, Dr. Anna Weber, Martin Gorg, Peter Koddermann, Prof. Dr. Carmella Pfaffenbach, Kyra Pfeil, Björn Schotten, Stefanie Weitenberg, and Prof. Dr. Agnes Förster.

The aim of "City Center Tomorrow" is to involve as many citizens as possible in the design of their future city. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the impact of global crises on cities, making it more crucial than ever to foster collaboration and resilience in urban development.
