Transfer of Jeong from Stuttgart to Union Berlin has been confirmed.

Union Berlin confirms the permanent acquisition of offensive player Wooyeong Jeong from VfB Stuttgart. The South Korean, who impressive on loan with Union last season, has officially joined the team on a permanent deal.

Horst Heldt, the managing director of Union Berlin, praised Jeong's performance, stating, "Wooyeong demonstrated the significant value he can bring to our team with his unique playing style."

During his loan spell with Union, Jeong made 23 appearances in competitive games, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Prior to a season-ending knee injury on matchday 27, he was a regular starter for the team.

The exact transfer fee for the transaction remains undisclosed. According to reports, Union had an option to purchase Jeong for more than five million euros. However, negotiations between the two clubs led to a potential agreement on a lower transfer fee, approximately three million euros.

Despite a less productive stint at VfB Stuttgart, where he made 29 competitive appearances, scoring two goals, and providing three assists, Jeong's performances at both clubs were generally lauded for his speed, agility, and work ethic. His impact on the team and character were also commended by leadership at both clubs.

Union Berlin's acquisition of Wooyeong Jeong, following his impressive loan spell, adds a skilled footballer to the squad, particularly in the European leagues, with his unique playing style, speed, agility, and work ethic. The South Korean, who demonstrated significant value to Union Berlin, has officially joined the team on a permanent deal, potentially for around three million euros.
