FC Schalke 04 Announces New Coach: Miron Muslic
Gelsenkirchen - After a thorough search, FC Schalke 04 has appointed Miron Muslic as their new coach for the upcoming second division season. The Austrian football manager has signed a contract until 2027.
The Royals Blue club made the announcement via press release, confirming that Muslic will take the helm following the coaching change. Schalke's sports director, Frank Baumann, expressed his delight in welcoming Muslic to the club.
"We believe Miron Muslic is the right coach for FC Schalke 04. His professional and communication skills, as well as his ability to inspire groups, make him a great fit for our team," Baumann stated.
Before joining Schalke, Muslic was head coach of Plymouth Argyle in the English Championship. Despite his tenure being marked by tumultuous periods, Schalke 04 was impressed by his leadership skills and resilience. They see him as the ideal individual to foster player development and lead the team in the 2. Bundesliga.
Muslic, who was still under contract with Plymouth Argyle, thanked his former employer in a statement. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the prospect of joining Schalke 04 and pledged to embark on this new venture with great conviction and passion.
Schalke 04's director of professional football, Youri Mulder, commended the conversations with the 42-year-old Austrian. "Miron has demonstrated his expertise and ability to communicate effectively. We look forward to working with him," Mulder added.
As Muslic commences his tenure at Schalke 04, the team prepares for a fresh start in the second division, aiming to secure a return to the Bundesliga.
