Residents of Russia's Transbaikal Territory brace for severe cold as temperatures are set to plummet on November 2. Police are aiding drivers on the roads due to worsening weather conditions.

Weather stations in Chita, including Chita Airport, Chita City Weather Station, and the Chita Hydrometeorological Observatory, will record temperatures ranging from –20°C to –25°C (–4°F to –13°F) in the north to –8°C (18°F) in the south. Daytime highs will vary from +2°C to +7°C (36°F to 45°F), with northern districts experiencing lows of –7°C (19°F). No precipitation is expected, but southerly winds will strengthen, reaching 5–10 m/s (11–22 mph) in Chita. In Chita, overnight temperatures will drop to –11°C to –13°C (12°F to 9°F), with daytime highs reaching +2°C to +4°C (36°F to 39°F). Winds may gust up to 7–12 m/s (16–27 mph) in some areas.

The Transbaikal Territory is preparing for a significant cold snap on November 2, with temperatures expected to drop sharply. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, and authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
