Eintracht Braunschweig Announces New Goalkeeper and Contract Renewal

In a significant move for the German football club, Eintracht Braunschweig has announced the signing of a new goalkeeper, Elhan Kastrati, and the renewal of Marko Rajkovacic's contract.

Elhan Kastrati, a 28-year-old Albanian goalkeeper, joins Eintracht Braunschweig from the Italian second league, AS Cittadella. He has signed a five-year contract, set to expire on 30 June 2027, and will wear the number 13 jersey for the team [1][3][4].

Kastrati brings a wealth of experience to the club, having played 168 games in Serie B and 32 times in Albania's top league. He has also represented Albania's senior national team three times [1].

Meanwhile, Marko Rajkovacic, who joined Eintracht Braunschweig from the Swiss club FC Collina d'Oro in the summer, has signed a professional contract until 2026 [2]. However, his primary role will be in the U23 team for match operations.

The news of Kastrati's arrival comes after the departure of Tino Casali, whose contract expired at the end of last season. The transfer of Kastrati was announced before the season opener of Eintracht Braunschweig in Magdeburg.

Sports director Benjamin Kessel had previously emphasized the need to complete the goalkeeper team. With Kastrati's arrival and Rajkovacic's renewal, Eintracht Braunschweig seems to be well-equipped in the goalkeeping department for the upcoming season.

The addition of Elhan Kastrati, a 28-year-old Albanian goalkeeper, to Eintracht Braunschweig's roster, following his transfer from AS Cittadella in the Italian second league, has boosted the club's football team and European-leagues potential. Meanwhile, Marko Rajkovacic, who has been renewed for another year, will contribute to the U23 team's performance in match operations.
