Eduardo Camavinga's Injury: Sprained Ankle, Recovery Timeline Uncertain

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is currently sidelined due to a sprained right ankle, with his recovery timeline yet to be determined. The French international has been undergoing rehabilitation since early August 2025, and as of late August, there is still no fixed date for his return.

The injury occurred during a training session with the French national team, and initial reports suggested that Camavinga might miss at least 10 days of action. However, the midfielder's condition did not improve as expected, and he was still in rehabilitation by August 23.

Contrary to some speculation, there is no indication that Camavinga is suffering from a knee ligament injury. The issue has consistently been reported as an ankle sprain. If it were a knee ligament sprain, Camavinga could be out for at least a month. However, the club is yet to provide an update on the severity of the ankle injury.

Camavinga's absence is a concern for Real Madrid, especially given the longer-term absence of Jude Bellingham due to shoulder surgery. The duo's absence leaves a gap in the midfield, and the club is looking to manage Camavinga's workload carefully to aid his recovery.

The 20-year-old joined Real Madrid from Rennes in August 2021 for €31 million and has been a key player for the team this season. He has featured in all 17 of their La Liga and Champions League matches, providing one assist.

Real Madrid plans to minimize Camavinga's workload in the coming weeks, and he returned early from the training camp to undergo additional scans in Madrid. The club is hopeful that Camavinga will be in optimal condition for the more crucial stage of the season.

The injury occurred in a collision with PSG winger Usman Dembélé, but initially, the injury did not appear serious. However, Camavinga later felt discomfort in his knee, leading to further investigations.

The goal for both Camavinga and Real Madrid is to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible while ensuring his full recovery. Fans will be eagerly awaiting updates on the young midfielder's progress.
