The VfL Bochum squad is currently immersed in a training camp in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser, Austria, as they gear up for the upcoming season. The two-day training camp saw the team play two matches against Waldhof Mannheim and Young Boys Bern on Wednesday, with nearly every player logging at least 60 minutes on the pitch.

Despite the intense training sessions and matches, the coaching team found an opportunity for regeneration in the form of a Four-a-Side game. The location of this intriguing match is not specified, but photographs taken by Teresa Kroger suggest it was a lively affair.

The Four-a-Side game featured two teams, with Rexhep Kushutani, Marc Andre Kruska, Anthony Losilla, and Dieter Hecking on one side, and Murat Ural, Sebastian Baumgartner, Robin Mehring, and Niklas Honette on the other. The match took place on a small field with smaller goals, and it was Hecking's team that emerged victorious.

Interestingly, Hecking himself did not get much ball time during the warm-up rondo, a decision that seemed to please the other coaches present. The specific date of the training camp or the outcome of the two official matches against Waldhof Mannheim and Young Boys Bern were not disclosed.

However, the camp was not without its challenges. VfL Bochum suffered an injury setback when Moritz-Broni Kwarteng was sidelined during training, affecting the team's preparation.

The training camp in Austria marks an important phase in VfL Bochum's preparations for the new season, providing them with valuable game time and team bonding opportunities. As the squad continues to push through their training and matches, fans eagerly await updates on their progress.

The Four-a-Side game, held outside the training sessions, involved teams consisting of notable players like Rexhep Kushutani, Marc Andre Kruska, Anthony Losilla, and Dieter Hecking, and Murat Ural, Sebastian Baumgartner, Robin Mehring, and Niklas Honette. Despite missing out on a chance to play in the warm-up rondo, Hecking led his team to victory in this unique, smaller-scale football match.
