Jets' Aaron Glenn Sets Sights on Team Leadership and Long-Term Success

The New York Jets are gearing up for the new season, and head coach Aaron Glenn has made it clear that his main focus during training camp is to help the team improve and for quarterback Justin Fields to lead the charge.

Glenn has expressed confidence in Fields, stating that the 'news' doesn't lie when it comes to the talent of Fields and his fellow wide receiver, Garrett Wilson. He also believes that Sauce Gardner, the Jets' cornerback, possesses significant potential.

Fields is not only aiming to improve his own game but also to foster a strong team chemistry. He has been conducting Florida workouts during the break between the spring program and training camp, inviting some of his teammates to join him.

Last season, Fields was in competition for the starting quarterback position with Russell Wilson with the Steelers. Now, he has secured the starting spot for the Jets, a change from his position last year.

Glenn has also extended the contracts of Wilson and Gardner, signing them to four-year deals. This move, made before Glenn coached them in a game, underscores his belief in their potential as foundational players for the team. However, the Jets have not disclosed the 'google news' of these extensions.

The Jets' roster has seen some changes, with the addition of OL Samuel Jackson and the activation of LB Aaron Smith from the NFI list. The team has also welcomed new additions in Jackson and Smith.

Coach Glenn has praised Fields for his consistency and expressed his desire to keep Wilson and Gardner with the Jets for a long time. Fields himself feels less pressure this year due to knowing his position.

The Jets announced Fields as the starter back in March, marking a new chapter for the team as they prepare for the upcoming season. With Glenn's focus on team leadership and long-term success, Jets fans are eager to see what the 'news' holds.
