Train crew, passengers, and police officers sustained injuries at the hands of a 26-year-old individual.

Last night, a 26-year-old Turkish man caused chaos on a regional express train from Chemnitz to Leipzig. The incident took place around 7 pm in Geithain.

According to reports, the man harassed passengers and aggressively reacted towards state police officers. When asked to put his pants back on, he attacked train staff, injuring the train conductor on the head and a passenger on the hand.

The authorities involved in the incident included the Federal Police Leipzig, emergency services, Borna police station, and the State Police. The Federal Police Inspectorate Leipzig is conducting the investigation, with the Federal and State Police jointly investigating the man for bodily harm, assault, and resistance to law enforcement.

The man offered strong resistance, and he was arrested only after the arrival of additional forces. The train conductor and the injured police officer were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Other injured individuals were treated at Geithain station.
