Train bombing on Erzgebirgsbahn railway line - Federal authorities seek witnesses for investigation
Yesterday afternoon, around 3:50 PM, a train of the Erzgebirgsbahn was shot at at the Schwarzenberg/Erzgebirge stop. The shooter and his accomplice, both speaking German, reportedly traveled from Johanngeorgenberg to the Schwarzenberg/Erzgebirge stop and got off.
Three girls, estimated to be around 17 years old, were sitting near the window that was shot at and are important witnesses to the incident. Fortunately, the shooting did not result in any injuries. The girls got off at the Schwarzenberg/Erzgebirge station.
The shooter is described as approximately 18 years old, about 1.70 meters tall, with short dark hair, wearing a black pants and jacket. His accomplice is also described as around the same age and height, but with short curly blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a white top with wide stripes in what appears to be green, from the shoulder to the forearm.
The extent of property damage is currently unknown. The Federal Police are investigating the incident for dangerous interference with rail traffic, attempted dangerous bodily harm, and property damage.
