Tragic Murder-Suicide in Brisbane: Mother, Dr. Tiffany Wilkes, and Daughter Clementine Found Dead
A tragic incident has occurred in Kenmore Hills, Brisbane, where a mother and her young daughter were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide. The mother, Dr. Tiffany Wilkes, a renowned anaesthetist, and her daughter, Clementine, an exceptional 8-year-old known as a 'girl wonder' and 'mini genius', were found in a luxury Airbnb property around 20km from her Norman Park townhouse, which she had purchased two years ago but never moved into. The property was the scene of the suspected murder-suicide on September 29, 2023.
Dr. Wilkes, who had worked in major Queensland hospitals for 13 years, was captured on CCTV calmly taking out the bins less than 24 hours before the bodies were discovered, suggesting no immediate signs of distress. However, it has been revealed that Dr. Wilkes was ordered to undergo involuntary mental health treatment in 2023 under the Mental Health Act. This year, Clementine was withdrawn from mainstream schooling and enrolled in the state's homeschooling system, with the family taking on the responsibility of her education.
Police are treating the deaths as a murder-suicide and are preparing a report for the Coroner.
The deaths of Dr. Tiffany Wilkes and her daughter Clementine have left the community shocked and saddened. As investigations continue, the focus turns to understanding the circumstances leading up to this tragic event and providing support to those affected.
