Tragic loss of 7-year-old autistic boy King Supa Dixon after drowning in canal
A 7-year-old autistic boy named King Supa Dixon has died after drowning in a canal near his home in Leisure City. His family remember him as a vibrant, loving child who adored fruit, jumping, and outer space. A fundraising page has now been created to help cover his burial costs.
King Supa Dixon went missing on Tuesday afternoon after wandering away from home shortly after returning from school. His body was later found in the canal, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
His mother, Allanda Dorval, returned to the scene where her son lost his life. She described him as happy, brave, and full of love. Speaking fondly of his passions, she recalled how much he enjoyed simple joys like fruit, jumping, and learning about space. A vigil to honour King has been organised for Saturday, starting just after 7 p.m. at a park in Homestead. Dorval will attend, alongside family and community members. His great-aunt, Carla Deliford, confirmed that King was autistic, adding to the family’s grief over the tragedy.
The community has rallied to support the family, setting up a fundraising website to assist with burial expenses. The vigil on Saturday will provide an opportunity for loved ones to gather and remember King Supa Dixon. Meanwhile, authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances of his death.
