Six Individuals Shot in North Baltimore: One Victim Dies, Others Sustained Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
In a shocking incident on August 9, six individuals, including a 5-year-old girl, were shot at the intersection of Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues in North Baltimore. The victims were identified as four men, one woman, and the young girl, who was shot in the hand.
According to Commissioner Worley, the individuals were outside when someone opened fire. The 5-year-old girl's injury is not considered serious, and she is expected to recover. The other adults—a 23-year-old woman, and men aged 32, 33, and 52—sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the hospital.
Unfortunately, Jerome Michael Coateson, a 38-year-old male victim, was critically injured and died the morning after the shooting.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the motive remains unclear. Authorities reported multiple rounds fired and ruled out a drive-by shooting due to numerous shell casings found at the scene.
