Tragic incident: Flooding in the U.S. leaves 21 children dead, with several still reported missing

In the aftermath of the recent flash floods in Texas, the death toll has risen to at least 59, with 15 children and 28 adults confirmed dead in Kerr County, according to local authorities [1][2][3]. The sheriff of Kerr County reported the recovery of 43 bodies, with more victims discovered elsewhere in the state.

The Christian summer camp named Camp Mystic, located along the Guadalupe River, was severely affected by the floods. A total of 27 girls are still missing from the all-girls camp, which had approximately 750 attendees at the time [1][2]. At least four girls from Camp Mystic have been confirmed dead, with some identified by name. The camp's owner and director, Dick Eastland, also lost his life in the floods.

Rescue efforts are ongoing amid ongoing heavy rains and flash flood warnings, with the U.S. President Donald Trump declaring the Texas floods a disaster [1][2]. This disaster declaration paves the way for additional federal aid to the affected region in Texas.

It is important to note that not all bodies found in the flood aftermath have been identified at this time.
