As a result, a portion of the road from Fortis Hospital towards Mahipalpur has caved in[1][2][3]. This unfortunate event has led to significant traffic disruption in the area. Authorities have advised commuters traveling from Mehrauli towards Mahipalpur to take an alternate route via Aruna Asaf Ali Marg starting from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, to avoid the affected stretch[1][2][3][4][5]. The traffic police are managing the flow and urging travelers to follow directions on-site[3].
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported from the collapse so far[1][4].
In a separate incident in Delhi's Jaitpur, seven people, including three men, two women, and two children, lost their lives due to a wall collapse[6]. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation and registered a case under relevant sections of the law after the Jaitpur incident[6].
Commuters are urged to follow the directions given by the personnel deployed in the affected area to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.
