In a sensational trial that has been making headlines, the abduction of the two youngest children of Hamburg entrepreneur Christina Block is under scrutiny. The children, a ten-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter, were allegedly kidnapped from Denmark to Germany in the night of December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024.

The prosecution has accused Christina Block of commissioning the abduction, a claim she has previously rejected. The defence, on the other hand, alleges that she did not exhaust all family law options in Denmark.

The Israeli security firm, allegedly responsible for the whereabouts of the children, was only hired to check the cybersecurity of the Elyseé Hotel, which belongs to the Block Group. However, the prosecutor questions why this firm was hired without considering offers from other companies.

The prosecutor has stated that a police officer noted that Mrs. Block was reportedly difficult to reach, according to Delling. Christina Block, in response, claimed to have given her partner, Gerhard Delling, the number of the phone handed over by the kidnappers to pass on to the police.

The security company alleged to be responsible for the abduction is said to have been involved in organising the operation, as indicated by an Israeli man who participated in the operation and connected through the company’s head.

The trial took an interesting turn when the prosecutor quoted a note from an Israeli intermediary stating that the topic of custody disputes was mentioned early on when the firm was hired. Block replied that she can't say anything about that.

The abductors reportedly changed vehicles near the border and continued their journey in a motorhome, driving the mother to Baden-Württemberg on January 2, 2024. The children's mouths were sealed with adhesive tape, and the daughter was bound by the hands.

The questions revolve around the custody dispute between Christina Block and her ex-husband, Stephan Hensel. It all began in August 2021, when the father kept the two children after a weekend visit, leading to the mother obtaining sole custody and ordering the father to hand over the children.

The trial has been ongoing, with Philip von der Meden, defence lawyer for the defendant, questioning her for the first time on the fifth day. Christina Block reports a failed attempt by her parents to see their grandchildren in January 2023, which resulted in her mother's death a few months later.

Four days after the abduction, the children were taken back to their father in Denmark on order of the Higher Regional Court. The Danish justice system, however, refused to enforce the decision, adding another layer of complexity to the case.

As the trial continues, the public eagerly awaits the outcome, with hopes for justice and resolution for the children involved.
