Toyota NZ Winds Down GR Supra Production, Track Edition Marks Final Model

Toyota New Zealand is winding down production of the GR Supra, with the Track Edition set to be the final model available. Six lucky customers will get the chance to own this exclusive version, priced at $109,990.

The GR Supra Track Edition boasts several performance enhancements, including front wheelarch aero flaps, upgraded front tyre spats, and a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler. It rides on 19-inch matte black alloy wheels and features modified suspension, extra bracing, recalibrated EPS, and a larger front brake package. The standard GR Supra, currently listed as a 'runout' model, is priced at $99,490 for the manual version and retains its 3.0-litre BMW-sourced straight-6 engine, producing 285kW and 500Nm.

The GR Supra's racing legacy continues with two GT4 Evos set to compete in the GT4 category this summer. In 2026, the GR Supra will make its debut in the Australian Supercars Championship with a V8 variant. Since its introduction in 2019, around 100 GR Supras have been sold in New Zealand, contributing to the establishment of the GR brand and paving the way for models like the GR Yaris, GR Corolla, and GR 86.

With the GR Supra's production coming to an end, Toyota New Zealand will focus on its racing commitments, fielding a minimum of four GEN3 GR Supras in the Repco Supercars Championship. The Track Edition serves as a fitting farewell to the iconic sports car, leaving a lasting impact on the New Zealand market.
