The Sauerland Cup is considered the best tournament in Germany, according to Raimund Giacuzzo, the organiser of the event for SG Menden Sauerland Wolves. The Wolves, the host team, will have a busy schedule, with their B juniors playing in the multi-purpose hall in Halingen against ATSV Habenhausen, HSG Dutenhofen Münchholzhausen, and Bergischer HC. The A juniors will face MT Talents, VfL Horneburg, and Bergischer HC in the preliminary round of the Sauerland Cup.
The first game of the Mendener team will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday (August 23) in the Walramhalle. The preliminary round of the Sauerland Cup handball games will start at 8:45 am on the same day.
The first men's team of SG Menden Sauerland will play a friendly match against TuSEM Essen II at 7 pm, an event that includes a food truck for the teams for the first time.
