Zipline Mystery: Tourist's Shocking Claims in Aftermath of Pahalgam Terror Attack
Tourist describes zipline guide shouting "Allahu Akbar" three times prior to incident, expressing worries...
Got a chilling dose of reality smack in the face? So did a man zip-lining through Pahalgam's breathtaking Baisaran Valley, just on April 22, when terrorists struck, taking 26 innocent lives. A distressing video, capturing the chilling moment the terrorists started firing, is all over social media. Rishi Bhatt, an Ahmedabad resident, is the unfortunate soul who inadvertently recorded the horrific incident while on a zip-line.
The video opens with Bhatt preparing to embark on a thrilling ride across the Valley, blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding below him. As the video progresses, he's seen enjoying the ride, a smile plastered on his face, as distant gunfire echoes faintly. Moments later, the video captures a person collapsing, hit by a bullet. Throughout the video, Bhatt remains oblivious to the horrific incident unfolding on the ground.
The Unsettling Whisper: "Allahu Akbar"
Bhatt claims that the zip-line operator shouted "Allahu Akbar" three times just before the hail of bullets began. Speaking to ANI about the video he captured, he shared that around nine people ziplined before him, but the operator said nothing. "When I was gliding, he said 'Allahu Akbar' thrice and then the firing started... I have my suspicions about that man. He looked like a regular Kashmiri," Bhatt shared.
The shooting started a few seconds after Bhatt heard the chilling words. "Firing started when I was gliding... After about 20 seconds, I realised that it was a terrorist attack...and people on the ground were being killed," Bhatt recounted.
Escaping the Jaws of Death
As soon as Bhatt landed, he quickly detached himself from the zip-line and fled with his wife and son. "We saw people hiding in a spot that was like a pit, so you couldn't spot someone easily there. We too hid there," he said.
According to reports by News18, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken the zip-line operator in for questioning. Bhatt's chilling claims have put the operator under the scanner, as investigations into the Pahalgam terror attack continue.
Meanwhile, Bhatt's family continues to live in fear, with his young son reportedly uttering "Allahu Akbar" even during storms, echoing the words heard before the attack. The father of the accused zip-line operator disputes these claims, stating that phrases like "Allahu Akbar" are merely expressions of faith and resilience.
The Pahalgam terror attack, leaving 26 lives and shattered dreams in its wake, is a grim reminder of the lurking threats that plague our peaceful paradises. It is a testament to the unyielding spirit of humanity, as the Indian Army raced to secure the area and rescue the stricken tourists. Bhatt expressed his gratitude towards the quick response of the Indian Army, praising their timely intervention and protection.
