Tourism association head demands prosecutor's office to scrutinize Elmira Tukanova's department's work.

Revised Article:

Mikhail Maltsov, head of the Urals Tourism Association, has requested the prosecutor's office to scrutinize the workings of the Tourism Development Department, led by Elmira Tukanova. He sent the document as a member of the public council attached to the proficient department.

"In the eyes of several market participants, it has essentially spread misinformation, reporting projects as completed that sought subsidies for which the department itself filed lawsuits, considering them unrealized. We haven't received a satisfactory response from the department, so we chose to take action through the prosecutor's office," Maltsov explained to our correspondent on our site.RU.

For instance, the Tourism Development Department demanded the return of subsidies or compensation for damages caused to the budget by partners of the government structure. In May, seven lawsuits totaling 120 million rubles were filed in the regional arbitration court. Antoine Penyagin, an individual entrepreneur, was targeted for 11 and 5 million rubles. "Sintz aktiv," planning to construct an eco-village on the shore of the Verh-Neivin Lake reservoir, faces a demand for 10 million rubles from the department.

The largest sum of 76.5 million rubles has been demanded from the lessee of the city pond beach in Sysert, "Gorod mechty" (Dream City). Together with Baden Family, the company aimed to renovate the beach and construct an eco-village, but the entire project remained unrealized. Companies like "Malibu" (9.5 million rubles) and "Aramilskaya sloboda" (5 million ruble lawsuit) are also on the list.

"We were surprised by the lawsuits filed by the Tourism Development Department for the return of subsidies. These funds were intended for building an eco-village on the bank of the Sysert Reservoir. Our surprise stems from the fact: our company regularly reported on the progress of the work, and during the inspection, no questions arose concerning the companies within the Baden Family group. Furthermore, local media publish photos of the completed eco-village. We are preparing documents for the Arbitration Court to prove our legitimacy," Baden Family's press office stated.

Elmira Tukanova labeled Maltsov's accusations as "contractually based" and called for an investigation into his actions in return.

"My report has been approved by Dmitri Ionin, the first deputy governor, without whom it couldn't have been submitted. Michael Anatolyevich isn't very familiar with the routine of report submission to the leaders before the deputies, so he is throwing shade on my supervisor [Dmitri Ionin]. This isn't the first time. It's high time to investigate Maltsov, who's making scandalous statements about the executive power and Ionin himself," Tukanova commented to our site.RU journalist.
