In a thrilling finale to the ninth stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2025, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma-Lease a Bike) secured a solo victory, finishing 20 seconds ahead of Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez). The stage, a mountainous 124 km route from Praz-sur-Arly to Châtel, featured several challenging climbs, including the hors catégorie Col de Joux Plane (11.6km at 8.5%), the Côte d'Arâches-la-Frasse (6.2km at 7.1%), and the Col du Corbier (5.9km at 8.5%).

Ferrand-Prévot attacked with 6.7 km to go, leaving the peloton behind. Only five riders were able to follow the top two: Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-SRAM-ZondaCrypto), Niamh Fisher-Black (Lidl-Trek), Sarah Gigante (AG Insurance-Soudal), and Demi Vollering.

In the overall general classification, Ferrand-Prévot cemented her position as the winner of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes, finishing with a total margin of 3 minutes 42 seconds over runner-up Demi Vollering. Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney completed the podium in third place, 4 minutes 9 seconds behind Ferrand-Prévot.

Lorena Weibes (SD Worx-Protime) won the green points jersey, while Elise Chabbey (FDJ-Suez) took the polka-dot climber’s jersey.
