Tour Cancellation of JP Saxe's North American Outing Due to Poor Ticket Sales Despite Online Plea

JP Saxe, the Toronto-based singer-songwriter best known for his 2019 hit single "If the World Was Ending" with Julia Michaels, has announced the cancellation of his 2025 "Make Yourself at Home" tour. The decision was made primarily due to sluggish ticket sales, despite urgent efforts to sell the required 20,000 tickets within a 48-hour period.

The tour, scheduled to play more than 25 dates across North America, included cities such as Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of Saxe and his team, the tour could not proceed as planned.

In a video posted on TikTok, Saxe expressed his gratitude and regret about the cancellation. He acknowledged the difficulty of admitting poor ticket sales openly and emphasized honesty with his fans. He also thanked the 2,000 people who bought tickets for the cancelled tour, stating it was a reminder of the power of community support.

The cancellation does not prevent ticket refunds for buyers. All dates have been cancelled, and refunds will be issued in full.

The cancellation of JP Saxe's tour is not an isolated incident in the live music industry. The shaky economy, years of inflation, and significant increases in concert ticket prices this year have put pressure on the live music sector. Saxe perceives the response from the internet community during his ticket sales attempt as the nicest it has ever been, indicating a strong fanbase that will likely continue to support him in the future.

As of now, there are no new cities or dates for JP Saxe's tour announced. Fans are encouraged to stay updated through Saxe's official social media channels for future announcements.
