Tottenham Hotspur has confidence in securing a substitute for Maddison on the transfer market, according to Frank.

Tottenham Hotspur, led by Frank, is optimistic about securing replacements for Maddison in the upcoming transfer market.

Tottenham Hotspur have been actively pursuing midfield reinforcements after the season-ending injury suffered by James Maddison, the club confirmed. Maddison, who contributed significantly to the team's success in the 2024-25 Europa League campaign, is expected to be out for the majority of the 2025-26 season.

Manager Thomas Frank has expressed the need for potential signings, particularly in the midfield, to bolster the team's attacking creativity. The club is reportedly considering several options, including Yves Bissouma, who is linked to AS Roma but could still be a factor in Tottenham's plans if a deal falls through.

In addition, Tottenham is confident of securing a high-profile £68 million midfielder, although the player's identity remains undisclosed. Other potential signings such as Eberechi Eze or Savinho could also join the ranks, serving as wide or central playmakers to boost the ailing attack.

The transfer strategy appears to be focused, with the club under pressure to make two major transfers before the window closes, indicating a focused midfield recruitment drive. However, Frank has emphasised that the team will only sign a player if they believe he can improve the team, and they will not force any new signings.

This move aligns with Frank's goal for a strong season following significant summer signings. The club has already strengthened its squad with the arrivals of Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha, Luka Vuskovic, and Kota Takai. Despite the ongoing transfer activity, Frank has stated that he will not make any announcements about potential signings until they are 100% confirmed.

In the 2024-25 season, Maddison scored nine goals and registered seven assists in 21 league starts for Tottenham, making a substantial impact on the team's performance. Frank did not mention any other teams or players in relation to Tottenham's transfer plans, nor did he specify any position or the timing or number of potential signings.

As the transfer window progresses, fans can expect Tottenham Hotspur to continue their active pursuit of midfield talent to fill the void left by Maddison's injury and bolster their chances for a successful season.

In the pursuit of midfield reinforcements, Tottenham Hotspur is contemplating the addition of Yves Bissouma and a £68 million midfielder, among other potential signings like Eberechi Eze or Savinho.

Manager Thomas Frank has emphasised that any incoming player must demonstrate the ability to enhance the team's performance, ensuring these signings align with his goal for a successful season.
