Tottenham eye West Ham’s Summerville to fix attacking crisis

Tottenham Hotspur have shown interest in signing West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville. The 22-year-old has impressed recently, scoring twice and providing two assists in his last few matches. His latest goal came in West Ham’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham at their stadium last weekend.

Spurs are exploring attacking options after injuries and potential departures left their squad short up front. They have already brought in Conor Gallagher this month for around £35 million.

Summerville’s strong form has caught Tottenham’s attention. West Ham value him at £25 million, a figure that would not generate a profit for the club if matched. Despite this, Spurs see him as a useful addition, particularly given their current struggles in attack.

The player also has a positive relationship with former Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who believes Summerville could play a key role in the team’s future. However, Nuno is no longer at the club—Antonio Conte remains in charge for now, including for their upcoming match against Burnley.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s current manager, Thomas Frank, faces uncertainty. The team sits 14th in the Premier League, and internal talks about his future are ongoing. If dismissed, the club may look for an interim solution until the end of the season. Mauricio Pochettino, who managed Spurs from 2014 to 2019, has been mentioned as a possible long-term replacement after the 2026 World Cup.

Summerville’s recent performances, including his goal against Tottenham, have reinforced his reputation. West Ham, however, have not indicated any willingness to sell at their current valuation.

Tottenham’s interest in Summerville comes as they seek to strengthen their attacking options. The club must decide whether to meet West Ham’s £25 million asking price or explore other targets. For now, Conte remains in charge, but changes could follow if results do not improve.
