Torrential scoring spree in the opening half:

Borussia Dortmund and Juventus Turin served up a thrilling spectacle in the Champions League season opener, with the German side ultimately settling for a 4-4 draw.

The first half of the game was a tense affair, with neither team able to find a breakthrough. However, the second half exploded into life, starting with Karim Adeyemi scoring for Dortmund from just outside the penalty area in the 52nd minute.

Just minutes later, Openda had a chance to double Dortmund's lead, but his falling header in the penalty area was ruled out for offside. Gregor Kobel, Dortmund's goalkeeper, remained relatively untroubled for the rest of the half.

Juventus responded in the 63rd minute, as Kenan Yildiz equalized for the Italian side. But Dortmund didn't let their heads drop, and Guirassy had a chance to restore their lead, only to miss from close range against Juventus keeper Michele Di Gregorio.

The game continued to ebb and flow, with Juventus showing some nice passing moves going forward and earning a few corners. However, it was Dortmund who struck next, as Felix Nmecha scored in the 65th minute to make it 2-1.

But Juventus refused to be beaten, and Dusan Vlahovic equalized for the Turin side in the 68th minute. The game looked to be heading for a draw, but Dortmund showed their resilience, with Yan Couto scoring in the 74th minute to make it 3-2.

However, Juventus struck back once more, as Lloyd Kelly scored an equalizer in the 90+6 minute to make it 3-3. The game seemed destined for extra time, but Ramy Bensebaini had other ideas, scoring a penalty in the 86th minute to give Dortmund a 4-3 lead.

But Juventus showed their fighting spirit once again, as Vlahovic scored an equalizer in the dying moments of the game to make it 4-4. Despite remaining unbeaten this season, the result is disappointing for Dortmund given the course of the game.

The coach of Borussia Dortmund who played in the Champions League match against Juventus Turin in 2025 is Niko Kovač. The two sides will meet again in the near future, with both teams looking to build on this exciting encounter.
