Torrential rain swamped Mahakchaly's thoroughfares
In the Russian cities of Makhachkala and Khimki, heavy rains have caused flooding on several central streets, according to reports.
In Makhachkala, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) is coordinating emergency response measures to deal with the flooding. The affected streets include Ahmad Magomedov Street, Abdulkhakim Ismailov Street, and Akushinsky Prospekt.
Utility services in Makhachkala have been switched to enhanced operation mode to help manage the situation.
Meanwhile, in Khimki, a separate incident of flooding has been reported. A video of the flooding was captured, but no link to the video has been provided. The name of the person who reported the flooding is also not known at this time.
Despite the flooding in Khimki, no information about the affected streets or utility services has been made available in this report.
The city administration in Makhachkala is urging residents to understand the current situation and take necessary precautions. However, there is no similar urging from the city administration in Khimki.
It is worth noting that the flooding in Khimki was reported earlier, and it is believed that heavy rainfall is the cause of both incidents.
The city administrations and emergency services are working tirelessly to manage the situation and ensure the safety of the residents. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
