Torpedo Hockey Club merges sport with industry in a night of tribute

Torpedo Hockey Club celebrated a special event in Nizhny Novgorod this week. The matches honoured OMK’s 33rd anniversary, its workers, and long-time supporters. Players even wore custom jerseys inspired by legendary engineer Vladimir Shukhov and the metallurgists of the OMK plant in Vyksa.

Before the game, OMK CEO Anatoly Sedykh dropped the ceremonial puck to kick off the main event. The stadium took on an industrial feel, with fans donning hard hats and workwear. Players, coaches, and even the announcer dressed in gear matching the theme.

The event brought together hockey and industry in a unique celebration. Torpedo’s players and fans experienced a night where sport met craftsmanship. The custom jerseys and industrial atmosphere left a lasting impression on all who attended.
