Toronto Tempo crushes Seattle Storm 93-72 in dominant rematch win

The Toronto Tempo secured a convincing 93-72 victory over the Seattle Storm on Saturday, May 20. This win marked their second triumph against the Storm in just over a week, following their first franchise win on May 13. The Tempo dominated the game with strong performances across the board. Kiki Rice led the scoring with 17 points, while Marina Mabrey added 18. Brittney Sykes contributed 15 points, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Laura Juskaite also made an impact with 14 points and five rebounds.

A key moment came in the third quarter when the Tempo closed on a 19-5 run, sparked by a steal from Mabrey. Their defence and offensive momentum carried them through the match. Natisha Hiedeman topped the Storm’s scoring with 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to challenge Toronto’s lead.

The Tempo also welcomed back Julie Allemand, who returned after missing the last five games due to injury. Her presence added depth to the team’s playmaking and defensive efforts. The win solidifies Toronto’s progress in the season, building on their first-ever victory over Seattle. With balanced scoring and a strong defensive showing, the Tempo continue to gain confidence as they move forward.
