Toronto Kids Fashion Week brings inclusive auditions to Calgary and Edmonton

Toronto Kids Fashion Week (TKFW) is returning to Alberta for the fifth time. The initiative will hold open auditions for children and youth aged 3 to 18 in Calgary on March 7th and Edmonton on March 8th. Organisers aim to create inclusive spaces that reflect the diversity of real communities.

TKFW uses fashion as a tool for social impact, representation, and community engagement. The programme encourages belonging, empathy, and confidence-building through creative expression. By featuring children of different abilities and backgrounds, it normalises diversity in public cultural spaces.

Open auditions in Calgary and Edmonton highlight the organisation’s long-term commitment to Alberta. Katherine Garcia, Artistic Director of TKFW, has reaffirmed the initiative’s dedication to both cities. Participation in shared public events helps boost visibility, self-esteem, and community connection for young people.

Details about auditions and upcoming activities are available through TKFW’s official channels. The events in Calgary and Edmonton will provide children with opportunities to engage in creative expression. The initiative continues to strengthen its presence in Alberta through inclusive and accessible programming.
