Toronto basketball team, the Raptors, have secured the return of experienced player Garrett Temple for another season.
The Toronto Raptors have announced the re-signing of veteran guard Garrett Temple for the 2025-26 season, marking his third campaign with the team. The terms of the deal, however, have not been disclosed.
Temple, a native of Baton Rouge, La., is entering his 16th NBA campaign. The 39-year-old has had an illustrious career, playing for 12 different teams before joining the Raptors in 2023. His longest stint with a single franchise was with the Washington Wizards from 2012 to 2016.
In his two seasons with the Raptors, Temple has averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 assists in 28 games during the 2024-25 season. Throughout his entire NBA career, Temple has averaged 5.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists across 771 games.
Although the specific averages for his seasons with the Raptors are not available, it is known that this will be the first season Temple will be playing in the NBA without any prior team history.
In addition to his basketball career, Temple serves as a vice-president on the National Basketball Players Association executive committee.
