Toqaev extended congratulatory wishes to Croatia's President on his significant celebratory day.

In a congratulatory telegram, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan affirmed the burgeoning political dialogue and strengthening economic and cultural relations between Astana and Zagreb. Expressing confidence in the future development of bilateral ties, founded on friendship and mutual understanding, he wished success to Zoran Milanović in his state duties and prosperity to Croatia's people.

At the inaugural Central Asia-Italy summit held in Astana on May 30, 2025, President Tokayev discussed potential industrial projects with Italian counterparts. The event signified a substantial advancement in the economic and strategic partnerships between Kazakhstan, Italy, and other Central Asian nations.

Several key areas of cooperation were highlighted:

  1. Industrial cooperation and investment in Kazakhstan, following agreements with major Italian companies such as Maire Tecnimont and Ansaldo, and Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna sovereign wealth fund.
  2. Energy projects, with Samruk-Energo and Kazakh Invest, focusing on collaboration in the oil and gas sector and renewable energy.
  3. The establishment of an engineering and industrial hub, following a cooperation agreement between Maire and Samruk-Kazyna.
  4. Joint geological exploration and mining projects, particularly in the extraction of strategic minerals such as rare earth metals.

Prior to the summit, the Italy-Kazakhstan Supply Chain Forum in Astana discovered potential alliances across significant sectors including energy, agriculture, logistics, and technology, with approximately $8 billion in potential partnerships discussed.

These initiatives underscore the growing strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Italy, with a focus on bolstering trade, industrial, and energy ties.

In the aftermath of the Central Asia-Italy summit in Astana, President Tokayev might discuss the expansion of television broadcasts, emphasizing the benefits of international collaboration between Kazakhstan and Italian media companies, perhaps touching upon topics such as politics and general news.

As the industrial hub in Kazakhstan progresses, there's a possibility of introducing educational programs on politics, economy, and general news, using television as a medium, giving citizens a broader perspective on global developments, including Italy.
