In a recent development, it appears that Mario Balotelli's future lies with Manchester City, at least for the time being. The Daily Mail reports that AC Milan have conceded any hope of signing the enigmatic striker, who has been a source of media attention both on and off the pitch.

City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed Balotelli's stay at the Etihad Stadium, stating unequivocally that the former Inter Milan man will remain a City player ("Balotelli will remain at Manchester 101%"). This announcement comes after several reports suggested that AC Milan were interested in Balotelli, who is an avid AC Milan fan. However, AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed any claims that Balotelli is on his way to AC Milan, stating emphatically, "Balotelli to AC Milan? No, Mario won't come."

Despite the ongoing speculation, Balotelli seems content at Manchester City, having played a significant role in helping the team clinch the Premier League title. His immediate focus, however, is on the Euro 2012 tournament with Italy, where he is expected to lead the line against Spain on Sunday evening.

Allegri has spoken of the need for Balotelli to 'mature' if he is to become a top player for years to come. The striker's personal life and football career have generated much media attention, and as ever with the former Inter Milan man, another story about him is sure to be around the corner.

For now, Balotelli is a free agent, having left Genoa at the end of the 2024/25 season. He is reportedly open to new opportunities, with a dream of playing for Real Madrid or possibly moving to other leagues, including interest in the A-League in Australia. The scenario of AC Milan giving up on signing him from Manchester City no longer applies, as Balotelli is not a Manchester City player anymore. He is openly seeking new clubs and has not been directly linked to a current AC Milan bid.

As the Euro 2012 tournament unfolds, the football world will be watching closely to see if Balotelli can continue his impressive form for Italy and potentially secure a move to his dream club in the future.
