Top-tier Egersdorf emerges victorious in the Wander Cup competition

On a sunny day in July 31, 2025, in the District of Fuerth, the Rangau-Grundschule in Egersdorf once again proved its prowess in traffic education, winning the travelling trophy for the second consecutive year in the annual cycling test.

A total of 1,156 children from 55 fourth grades of 14 primary schools in the district participated in the test, with the Rangau-Grundschule's Class 4b emerging as the champions. The winning class, under the guidance of Mrs. Bunke, received medals for their outstanding performance and a cash prize of 100 euros for their class fund.

Class 4e/f of the Grundschule Stein came in second place, while Class 4c of the Grundschule Cadolzburg secured third place. The children's traffic safety was highly commended by the Zirndorf police station, with the head of the station, Matthias Riedel, expressing his satisfaction.

The cycling test focused solely on practical cycling skills, with the children demonstrating their ability to navigate traffic, adhere to road rules, and maintain safety at all times. The Zirndorf police station thanked all involved in the event, including the traffic police, the schools, and the children themselves.

Cadolzburg's second mayor, Dr. Georg Krauß, also praised the children's achievement, with District Administrator Bernd Obst personally congratulating the winners. Obst also congratulated the other participating schools for their efforts and dedication to traffic education.

In a delightful tradition, the trophy won by Class 4b at the Rangau-Grundschule in Egersdorf was filled with gummy bears. The school has consistently demonstrated success in traffic education, making it a force to be reckoned with in the district's cycling tests.

The victory marks another milestone for the young cyclists of the Rangau-Grundschule in Egersdorf, who continue to set the bar high in traffic education and practical cycling skills. The school and its students are a shining example of dedication, discipline, and teamwork, inspiring other schools in the district to strive for excellence.
