Celebrating a Century of Service: Belarus' District Police and Juvenile Inspectors Shine in Annual Competition
In a remarkable display of dedication and skill, Belarus' district police and juvenile inspectors recently marked the 100th anniversary of their service with an impressive showing at the XVIII Republican contest.
The competition, held this year to recognise the centenary anniversary, was a comprehensive test of the participants' abilities, encompassing exams in personal and professional safety, oratory competitions, as well as physical, firearm, tactical, special, and physical fitness tests.
The Vitebsk region team emerged as the unbeatable force in the team ranking for the "Best District Police Inspector" category, with Vadim Markovich from the Vitebsk Oblast UVD being named the best district police officer in the country. Vladislav Pilukhov, also from the Vitebsk Oblast UVD, took the second place.
In the "Best District Juvenile Inspector" category, Andrei Lagutik from the Grodno Oblast UVD defended his title for the second year in a row. The Grodno region team also claimed victory in the "Best District Juvenile Inspector" category.
First Deputy Minister and Chief of Public Security Yuri Nazarenko emphasised the significance of this milestone, stating that the centenary anniversary is met by a well-organised, cohesive collective of district police with the most modern forms and methods of work. He presented the awards to the winners, honouring their exceptional service.
The competition also recognised the contributions of journalists who excelled in their coverage of the work of district police and juvenile inspectors.
The service of the district inspectors occupies a special place in the system of internal affairs, and this year's competition served as a testament to their commitment and professionalism.
