Firing on All Cylinders: Chery's Aggressive 2025 Expansion
Things are heating up for Chery International, the powerhouse behind iconic brands like Chery Kazakhstan. The recent conference highlighted an ambitious plan to grow their global presence by improving dealer networks, enhancing service quality, and staking their claim in the global market with innovative products and top-tier service.
In 2024, Chery International skyrocketed with a 36% surge in sales to an impressive 2.6 million vehicles. By 2027, the automotive juggernaut aims to roll out an astounding 43 models, including hybrids, and move over 300,000 electrified vehicles this year. Chery's impressive achievements include ranking 385th on the Fortune Global 500 list for 2024 and boasting over 16 million users worldwide.
Chery Kazakhstan, their local powerhouse managed by Astana Motors, received top honors at the conference, bagging trophies in three categories: outstanding brand promotion, leading market share, and supporting social initiatives. Nurlan Smaгуlov, founder of Astana Motors, expressed gratitude for this well-deserved recognition. Special recognition was given to Chery's dealer centers in Aktau, Semey, Astana, and Shymkent for their exceptional service and contributions to the brand's regional success.
As the festivities continued, Chery unveiled exciting new models slated to hit Kazakhstani roads in 2025, including the Tiggo 10, the next-generation Tiggo 8, Tiggo 7, Arrizo 9, and hybrid versions of several existing models.
With over 24 sales points operational in 19 cities across Kazakhstan, Chery plans to expand its footprint further by opening dealerships in Taldykorgan and Turkestan before the year's end. Currently, Kazakhstan residents can choose from five crossovers and one sedan in the Chery lineup.
The Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition served as the backdrop for Chery's major reveal, featuring a lineup of frame full-drive pickup trucks, Chery Himla (ICE/PHEV/EV), and the hybrid representative sedan, Chery Arrizo 9.
Chery's aggressive global expansion strategy isn't limited to Kazakhstan. The company plans to introduce up to 39 new hybrid models worldwide, signifying a significant focus on hybrid technology advancements and sustainability. Meanwhile, Chery is partnering with companies like KG Mobility for co-developing vehicles and technologies. However, the exact models slated for Kazakhstan aren't specified yet. Some of Chery's existing and newer models, like the Omoda 5 and possibly the Lepas L8 with plug-in hybrid options, might find their way to various markets, potentially including Kazakhstan.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as Chery continues to revolutionize the automotive landscape, one bold move at a time! 🚀🚗🇦🇿🌐
