In the frosty city of Yakutsk, a fierce battle of welding prowess unfolded. Between June 9-10, the fiercely competitive regional stage of the All-Russian Professional Mastery Competition, titled "Best Welder of Russia" 2025, took place. The contestants showcased their masterful skills, leaving no doubt of their meticulous preparation.
A closer look: The all-star cast included seasoned veterans and up-and-coming stars. Among them was Hero of Russia Nikolai Evdokimov, a 5th category gas-electric welder with a storied past. Meanwhile, Dyulustan Fedоrov, with over 29 years in the welding business and a passion for imparting knowledge to the younger generation, received due acknowledgment for his unwavering dedication to the craft.

In the "Mechanical Welding of Solid Wire in Active Gas" category, Dmitry Rakitin from AK "ALROSA" (PJSC) Udachninsky GOK snagged first place. Andrei Sleptsov from AO "Sakhaenergo" took the second spot, with Sergei Kazarmakov from AO "Yuzhno-Verkhoyanskaya Gornodobyvayushchaya Kompaniya" locking down the third position.
Rewiring the landscape: In the "Manual Arc Welding with Covered Electrode" category, Vladimir Sivtsev from SMM AO "Sakhatransneftegaz" clinched first place. Vladimir Takanayev from AO "StroyTransNeftGaz" earned the runner-up title, while Alexei Suslov from PJSC "YATEK" secured third place.
Firing on all cylinders: As the dust settles on the regional stage, attention now turns to the grand finale. The All-Russian "Best Welder of Russia" 2025 competition will find its conclusion in St. Petersburg from October 27 to 31, 2025, as part of the International Forum-Exhibition "Russian Industrialist 2025." Winners and prize-winners will have the opportunity to represent Russia in international welding competitions in 2026 as part of the national team Russia NAKS Team.
