Battlefield 6 Open Beta Unveils Nine Launch Maps

The Battlefield 6 open beta is currently underway, providing players with a glimpse of the game's diverse and action-packed maps. During the first weekend, three maps are available: Liberation Peak, Siege of Cairo, and Iberian Offensive.

Liberation Peak stands out as the best map in the beta, particularly for the Conquest mode, with its vehicle-friendly design and numerous sniper spots. Its layout bears a resemblance to that of Bad Company 2.

Siege of Cairo is a compact map set in the heart of Egypt. This urban battleground offers close-quarters combat with limited indoor options and a high density of choke points. Tanks are scarce in Siege of Cairo, turning them into "scary boss fights" due to the lack of air vehicles.

Iberian Offensive is a calmer urban sprawl compared to the other maps, providing open areas for snipers and vehicles.

Beyond the three maps included in the Battlefield 6 open beta, there are six additional launch maps, making a total of nine maps available at release.

Empire State is set in Brooklyn, New York, and is an infantry-only map featuring rooftop and street combat.

New Sobek City and Manhattan Bridge are other maps in the game, but their details are not yet known.

Mirak Valley and Saints Quarter are also part of the launch lineup, with their specifics yet to be revealed.

A notable addition to the launch maps is Operation Firestorm, a classic returning map from Battlefield 3 and 4, updated for Battlefield 6. Some maps have different variations tailored for specific modes, such as larger and smaller versions of Siege of Cairo for Conquest vs. Team Deathmatch.

The maps cover diverse locations, including New York, Egypt, the Iberian Peninsula, and Tajikistan, with various combat zones designed to support multiple game modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, and the new Escalation mode.

Tajikistan is described as "all-out warfare," with Brooklyn, a map in Tajikistan, offering a mix of big and small maps.

The second Battlefield 6 beta weekend starts on August 14, and it is expected to include the map Empire State. Additionally, a map named Morgan Park is also part of Battlefield 6, but its details are not yet known.

Kundara Valley, Manhattan Bridge, New Sobek City, Operation Firestorm, and Saints Quarter are other maps in Battlefield 6, but they are not in the current beta.
